Growing up, fast food restaurants have always been a bit of a treat for us as kids. It’s a place with air conditioning, delicious food, and usually quite a lot of fun as sometimes there’s even a playground as well. While there are many of such restaurants, one that’s close to my heart is always Marrybrown, as it is our very own homegrown outfit that rivals the best out there.

Now that I have my own kid, perhaps it’s time to relive some of those memories, albeit with a bit of role reversal.

We did just that last weekend, and with a bit of a twist – by joining Marrybrown’s Burgerlogy Workshop as a family.

What is Burgerlogy Workshop? Well, it is a group workshop and activity introduced by Marrybrown since 23 December 2024 and it’s here to stay! It promises to be fun and educational, and I’ll share our experience here.

The workshop costs RM29 per pax and comes with the following:

  • Kiddy Meal – Chicken Burger with French Fries (R) & Drink (S)
  • Kiddy gift
  • Apron & Chef Hat (free to bring home, how cute!)
  • Certificate
  • Hair Net & Hand Glove
  • Candy Pack
  • Prizes for games

The workshop wasn’t very difficult and was kinda fun, we donned on our hat and apron, then put on hand gloves (gotta stay hygienic right?), and then the workshop leader showed us how to assemble a Marrybrown chicken burger from the ingredients supplied – mayo, cooked chicken patty, burger bun, and fresh lettuce.

After assembly, the burger then finished up with the wrapper and viola! A complete chicken burger ready to eat!

I gave it a try and had it done without a hitch as I actually worked in a fast food restaurant many years ago in high school, while Casey, with the help of his mom somehow managed to complete only 75% through before getting distracted and started eating the burger bun!

Oh well, after all he’s just barely over 1.5 year old.

Overall it was rather a fun activity to be experienced as a family, and we even got an appearance by the mascot, MB Brownnie too! I think this activity is best for those with kids from 3-4 years and above, you get to have some fun and enjoy the meal after as well.

Burgerlogy is available at all Marrybrown restaurants in Malaysia except Genting Highlands, Sunway Lagoon, JPO, Zoo and Airport outlets.

And .. the Bukit Raja Marrybrown outlet has a playground too, that really rounds up the experience to 100%
