Now that life is back to “normal” and many of us are going back to office to work (at least part of the time), I’m reminded of my favorite food there is at the KLCC 2nd level food court – Hameed’s Maggi goreng.

Maggi Goreng is a dish as Malaysian as Ramli burger and roti canai, a staple you can find pretty much at any 24-hr mamak restaurants (RIP to those who didn’t survive the pandemic). The version here at Hameed’s is the best I’ve had thus far, even better than those I cook for myself.

I like to have mine with no additional BS (they’ll often ask if you want ayam goreng (fried chicken) with..), it’ll just be purely Maggi noodle with a bit of vege, cilipadi, and some cucur udang, with a side of lime for that fresh acidic kick.

The result is a dish that’s jolt your senses and sometimes warrant a slightly more memorable trip to the loo the morning after.

I love Hameed’s Maggi mee goreng.

Oh, thanks for the tip….didn’t know there was a good maggi goreng in KLCC’s food court. I’ve one mamak shop (yes, quite a few went kaput in the aftermath of the pandemic) in my neighbourhood that dishes out a good maggi goreng too (which looks quite like yours)…and I like mine without all that BS too…lol! 😀

I tried once in PJ at a mamak stall when the craze first started, did not get me excited. Tried it again here quite recently, didn’t sweep me off my feet. I guess I’ve yet to find a really good one!
