One of the problems that plague this generation of working adults is the ability to own a home. Gone were the days when monthly payment for an apartment or landed properties within Klang Valley is the same or even lower than the average rental.
For some, this means accepting smaller units of condo/apartment, but luckily, there are now developments that are located within reasonable distance from KL which are affordable, Acacia Park at Bandar Tasik Puteri in Rawang is one of such places.
So if you’re a young adult looking for your first home, continue reading. In this article, we will look at the township of Bandar Tasik Puteri.
location of Acacia Park and Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang
Bandar Tasik Puteri is located in Rawang, about 40-50 kilometers away from KLCC depending on which route you take.
The traveling route and distance to Bandar Tasik Puteri is as follow:
- from Jalan Duta toll via LATAR highway – 30 km
- from Jalan Duta via Batu Arang – 44 km
- from Templer Park – 26.7 km
- from Ijok – 24.6 km
- from MRT Sungai Buloh Station – 28 km
- from Subang SkyPark – 37.5 km
- from Guthrie highway via LATAR highway – 27 km
- from Shah Alam via LATAR highway – 36 km

The good news is, the interchange of Bandar Tasik Puteri to LATAR highway is being constructed now and expected to be completed by 2016, making the journey to KL possible in 18 minutes.
While physical distance may seem a little far, traveling time is actually rather reasonable. Everyone has a friend who stays in Puchong that takes almost 2 hours to travel to KL, don’t we? So physical distance itself doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Perhaps another lesser looked into areas of the location is the proximity to a lot of eco-friendly attractions.
For example, a 35 km drive is all it takes to see the fire flies and enjoy the seafood at Kuala Selangor, Sekinchan is just another short drive away from there. Forest Research Institute of Malaysia too is some 30 odd km away without having to go through Klang Valley’s congestion areas, and then there are gems up north such as the waterfall at Batang Kali.
Well, if you are the shopping type, 1 Utama is only half an hour away as well. Either way, you’re covered.
Tasik Puteri Golf and Country Club Club House
Bandar Tasik Puteri spans some 2,670 acres and is surrounded by established neighbourhoods of Kuang, Kundang, Batu Arang and Rawang Town, collectively known as part of North Klang Valley.
On top of the nearby attractions, Bandar Tasik Puteri is also a well-equipped township with facilities and amenities that serves residents from different age group.
The township consists of these following facilities & amenities:
- 2 primary schools
- 1 secondary school
- 1 Islamic school
- 3 polyclinics including 2 specialists
- 8 mini-marts
- 1 mosque
- A 27-hole golf course
- daily night & wet markets
- automobile service centres
- furniture retailers
- central park
- petrol stations

It is a booming community with a population of about 60,000 strong (2013) and expected to grow to 100,000 in the near future.
Bandar Tasik Puteri is now basically a self sustaining township that covers your everyday needs, be it your children’s education, doing grocery, medical consultation, or even recreational needs, the township has them. I think it’s a rather vibrant city away from the hustle and bustle of KL without sacrificing the convenience.
The good news is, if you’re looking for a first home, Acacia Park at Bandar Tasik Puteri is open for sale. Do check it out:
