Restaurant O&S is one of those kopitiams that is always too hot, too humid, and too difficult to get a parking space. Yet despite all these “problems”, it is arguably the busiest kopitiam probably in the whole of PJ.

Over here, sharing a table is a norm, and most of the time you’ll have to wait for a few minutes before you even get to do that. If you want comfort and personal space, don’t bother going there, but if you’re looking for good food, this is where you belong!

On my last visit we had the beef noodle and yong tau foo.

The yong tau foo here is self served. You line up, get a plate, choose your favorite ytf, then give it to the lady who would cut them up and add soup + spring onion for you.

The tofu is smoother than baby’s butt,  I never miss them. I haven’t had a disappointing piece of ytf from here, ever. Pretty reasonably priced as well.

The beef noodle at O&S is perhaps one of the most underrated stalls. I was introduced to this by Haze, who absolutely loved the broth (very sweet and flavorful). Meat, tripe, beef ball, and a few slices of radish completes the dish, and it would have been perfect had it come with tendon.

The beef noodle is only RM 5.50 to RM 6.50.

Other yummy dishes at restaurant O&S includes the prawn mee, laksa, kuih teow soup with coagulated blood, and more!

    Their chee cheong fun too!!

The only place that serves Penang style har kou, but using PJ style loose CCF instead of the hard packed Penang ones.

    Absolutely loves.

I agree with teeo hou, the penang style chee cheong fun (the prawn paste version) rocks as well (note the last time I had it was years ago), and most everything in restaurant O&S is at least between the normal-nice area.

I find the yong tau foo, though still nice, not as nice as before the fei lou dude was there though 🙁

I dislike their Chee Cheong Fun… no taste… I even asked my mom (who was born in Penang) to taste the Penang Chee Cheong Fun. Really Suck! Only KL ppl who appreciate the taste as they have no other choice… I dislike the prawn mee their… hated the taste… I would prefer the prawn mee in SS2 kopitiam that is facing the housing area. I think it is a lot better than OS.

Anyway, I love their assam laksa. It is really good. I’d mesmerized the taste of the assam laksa there. Awesomely good!

sakura: hahaa, I think taste is quite personal though, I like their prawn mee and loh mee though it’s not exactly my favorite (mine is TTDI opposite perodua). As for asam laksa, well I’m just never a gigantic fan of one. 😀

Try the ytf at city sun restaurant, taman mayang emas near tropicana. The tofu is much smoother than O&S. The tofu tastes really fresh! And the curry ccf is damn good too!
