Thank you Li Shian for making me the first to appear on the “Temu Blogger” section of Kosmo newspaper today. This is the first time I got an entire page in a newspaper, a great start to 2009 I’d say!

KY on Kosmo Newspaper
KYspeaks in Kosmo newspaper

I was actually on Kosmo some 2 years ago in an article featuring the koi pond, but not about this blog. Other beaming worthy moments include the article on NST with N82, a mention in Star Metro, and a few appearances in magazines such as TELL (blogged by suanie here), and KLUE (check out horny’s post).

I must be the luckiest person with a blog around here.

petrol refill on NPE
NPE Petrol refueling exercise

Or so I thought, until this morning when I was driving to work and the car decided to run out of fuel at NPE without letting me know (fuel gauge apparently died). Some of you might remember that this has happened to me before.

The NPE highway petrol now carries a different meaning to me. Thank you Mr. Arul for helping me out on the refueling exercise I hope never to repeat.

When I was having lunch I read that.

But I giggled hard when they say makan, main dan melancung. Main sounds so wrong. In case you are not sure, main is a slang for fucking in street Malay.

First time I ever heard of fuel gauge rosak! Thankfully, my car has only run out of fuel once, and that was when it was being collected from the dealer – the stupid dealer put so little gas in it, there wasn’t enough to get to the petrol station less than a km away.

    kennyhyn,
Best? There’s no such place as best I think, everyone has their own preferences, and since beer pretty much tastes the same at different location so long as they’re the same beer, it’s very hard to choose.
That said, I quite like jarrod & rawlins.

    Suertes,
Hahah so tragic, you should have pwnded him.

    aeroplane1234,

This is like the only time I feel fortunate to be living in Singapore because petrol stations are so easily available. Haha! I used to drive up to Pahang etc and the idea of being stuck somewhere in total darkness and no petrol never fails to send chills down my spine.

    Ed,
Hahaha, i can imagine your fear. But number of petrol stations are still pretty sufficient here in Malaysia. I was once almost stuck in the middle of nowhere in US cos most of the stations were closed during Christmas day!
