I never thought I’d post an entry featuring something from this big hawker center near my residence. In fact, I’ve probably went there only a handful of times in the past 3 years since I could never find anything that was good enough to satisfy the stomach.
I got to know this dumpling stall by chance, we were resting at Ming Tien for a giant glass of rejuvenating fruit juice after a game of futsal and the ever hungry Kelvin ordered a plate of fried dumpling as a side dish to his customary large meal after sports.

fried dumpling.. yummmm
The fried dumpling was simple enough, 10 tiny pieces in a plastic plate, with a dipping sauce that tasted like a mixture of red pepper and vinegar (or maybe some soya sauce too). The fried dumpling actually tasted very close to xiao long pao, with fatty pork inside and soup inside the dough skin. It was very, very deliciousm so good that I actually went there again a few days later. It would have been perfect if they actually provide some ginger strips.

you’ll love the vinegar + pepper dipping
The steamed dumpling though, while pretty good, was over shadowed by the fried dumpling. At RM 6 and RM 5 for 10 fried and steamed dumplings respectively, this is a great buy. The small bite size almost made it a lot easier to eat compared to the Japanese style gyoza.

Ming Tien is just right next to Michael’s Badminton Association in Taman Megah
