Just a tip, for injuries like this, better to claim from (if you have) your company benefit or a Personal Accident plan benefit. This is so that you don’t lose out on the No Claim Bonus thingy under PruHealth or TakafulHealth.

Save the bonus for *touch wood* more serious stuff!

I’m a Pru agent, just to answer the question by crhis. The eye injury would fall under Emergency Accidental Treatment. It is part of the medical insurance benefit for accidental injuries, thus hospitalisation is not required.

Pre-Hospitalisation is the treatment, diagnosis or investigation done 30 days before the actual surgery/hospitalisation.
