[...] Yong Chow fried rice was served just before the hairy crab itself. Although a relatively common fried rice dish you can find basically in any Chinese restaurant in Malaysia, the fried rice at Dragon-i was something else. Prepared by chef Kung Yu Hung who is actually from Yangzhou (that’s Yong Chow in Mandarin) itself, the rice is fried with bits of char siu, egg, green onion, prawn, and of course, hairy crab meat. It is on par with the excellent fried rice I had at Elegant Inn. [...]

connie,
Glad that you had a very good experience there. Usually the younger couples these days aren't very welling to pay RM 100+ for a good Chinese dinner but at the same time they splurge on Japs and other cuisines, puzzling isn't it?

hi ky! was there last friday...i shall definitely go there again cos their service was excellent and friendly... table for two.. ordered australia scallop bacon roll (RM24 for 4pcs).. was nicely done and delicious.. golden fried spare rib (RM26)was so juicy and crunchy on the outside tat i really savour every bite of it!.. the manager told us the ribs were marinated for at least two days and its their signature dish.. homemade beancurd with shrimps and pork is out of the world as well (rm22) and the tofu really melts in the mouth just like what my friend said!.. hk kailan with juicy big prawns was very well made (rm38).. the high price is due to rm20 for the big prawns!.. dancing fried rice isnt too bad with some crab meat on it.. so including tax and tidbits, the whole dinner costs rm155.10 for two.. not too bad isnt it, for a nice ambience with superb fine dining chinese food like tat? oh, we brought our bottle of whisky there as well.. no corkage at all!! so thanks again for recommending this restaurant ky..
