When it comes to pork noodle, I usually visit the famous SS3 pork noodle as I stay just a stone’s throw away.

I was introduced to this particular stall at PJ state by my ex-colleagues one particular lunch session, who described it as “pretty good also!”. Since I am always game for new foods and new places, why not?

note: This stall has been moved/closed down. If you know the where it is now please do leave a comment here.

Update 23/9/2013: New Address is at

Imbi Noodle House
3 Jln Metro Perdana 3,
Tmn Usahawan Kepong,
52100 Kepong

Beside AEON (former Carrefour) Entrance shop lot

Pork Noodle at PJ State
the sign board for the kopitiam is only visible at the back

The pork ball noodle stall is hidden inside Fook Yun kopitiam, which in turns has its sign board hidden and only viewable from the back of the building. However, it isn’t exactly tough to locate as this would be the kopitiam closest to the pedestrian-only streets opposite the MBPJ building.

Pork noodles come in either the soup, or dry version. The ingredients too, are slightly different, the dry version comes with marinated ground meat and a bowl of pork ball soup while the soup version has Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) and pork balls. On the contrary, the SS3 version comes with meat, intestine, ground pork, and liver. So they are actually rather different.

Pork Noodle at PJ State
ahh, glorious pork noodle

Taste wise, I find it to be pretty delicious in a different way. While the SS3 type is more oily and porky, this version carries the slightly sweeter taste thanks to the marinated ground meat or lap cheong. The pork balls were pretty big, has a firm texture to it, and tasted pretty good too.

As usual, you get to choose from vermicelli, noodle, kueh teow, or the combination of them as the filler.

A bowl of pork noodle here is slightly less than RM 5. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again.

There’s 1 pork noodle at Subang Jaya SS15 which also darn famous. The food stall is located direct opposite the Seaview Restaurant (corner shop food court actually).

Mee Sua pork + intestine + egg is the best combination. It’s not cheap. Double Mee Sua serving gonna cost RM6 or RM6.50

Kinda dishearten everytime seeing the huge amount of crowd. And have to wait ONE HOUR.

I don’t have the patience to wait ONE HOUR for the noodle to be served. So this place is my less preferred choice. lolz.

Nonetheless, it’s one of the best pork noodle in Klang Valley.

This particular branch at Kota Kemuning sucks! We (my husband and I) had a super terrible experience there:

1st – The man and lady owner of the stalls are the rudest pork ball seller i have ever met! What happened was their daughter who work for them actually took our order. And who knows what was wrong with her, she actually sent the wrong order to her dad(this man owner who prepares the noodle himself). And so came the wrong type of noodle on our table. Of course we asked for what we had ordered, but in turn the man owner scolded and started accusing us that we are trying to give them hard time!! Of course he still have to re-prepare our noodle. So when the correct order reached our table, the lady owner (his wife) actually gave us a rude remark that we ordered wrongly, and threw the bowl at us like feeding dogs! We were caught by surprise of such unexpected treatment. What was so wrong with these psycho sellers? We were so 101% sure that we made our order clearly and even ensured that the daughter took the correct order….but problem is the over confident daughter didn’t even border to write down our order, instead she tried to remember them in her mind (definitely a forgetful mind). The problem was as a seller of this so called famous noodle (i don’t think there is anything so special about it), being in the business for so long, haven’t they learn the business ethic, consumer is always right, and never be rude to customers? The man seller actually scolded us from the start till we finally decided to stop eating our noodles (it’s too hard to swallow such unfair accusation)….and we stood up and made our stand clear! We gave them a good brushing, to the extend the man owner was too afraid to accuse further, finally he tried to think rationally and just said he must be too tired, that’s why his temper gone wild! This is totally unacceptable!! Being tired and in the business doesn’t mean u can scold the customers who paid you for their food! I think they should close down to re-learn their business ethic, manners and business system!

2nd – The man seller who prepared the noodles actually hold a cigarettes on his lips all the time while preparing the noodles…imagine how much smoke ashes could have fallen into the pot of soup or into the noodle? No wonder cancer rate is rising high nowadays. We are eating toxic food!

3rd – Their noodle are just like normal noodle you can find out there at hawkers stalls. Nothing that special, so why are they charging double price? It’s over rated and super expensive. Not worth the price.

    Conclusion:
As a wise consumer, never go to Kota Kemuning branch of Jalan Imbi Pork Noodle. Dirty and pyscho seller should be taught a good lesson.
