A couple days before my birthday, I got a special delivery from down under, a big package all the way from Australia, the land of dozing wombats and slimy skinks. It was a gift from my hot chick, and I couldn’t be happier receiving the original super star snack Tim Tam and Pods! Just look at them! *drools*

Tim Tam and Pods
chocolate goodness to die for

Due to fluctuation in temperature while shipping these goodies, the pods seemed to have melted before, but fortunately, while the cosmetic is a bit off, they still taste great! Pods is something like a bigger version of Koko Krunch cereal but filled with chocolate and caramel, very rich and very addictive.

I think Tim Tam needs no introduction to most people, especially those who studied in ozzie. This chocolate mud biscuit is the best seller in Australia. The snack is full of chocolate, caramel, and biscuit in a harmonious combination that treats your taste buds the way good snacks do. Kinda reminds me of Reese’s although they are completely different.

Tim Tam and Pods
chocolate and strawberry flavors too!

You can get the local version of Tim Tam from places like Cold Storage (they now sell Reese’s too!), but I’ve heard that it doesn’t taste quite the same.

*slurps*

They have 2 different kinda timtams here.
The yucky version is made in indonesia (around RM3-4) where you can find it all the major supermarket.

The Aussie version (around RM9-10) mostly in high end supermarkets like cold storage or citisuper in hartamas…

just check the back label for manufacturer venue… 😉

the “general” version we get here is from indonesia and it is absolutely disgusting! ok, that may have been a tad bit harsh, but it seriously disgraces the tim tam name ok, not at all the same!!

you don’t have to flip it over and check it for the manufacturer venue actually, the packaging is completely different and the original australian version is longer, as in, more bars in one packet… recently the original editions have been spotting new catch phrases like “eat me”, “hide me”, “enjoy me”, “hold tight” etc… but they’re all the original tim tams, totally yummylicious and well worth the extra ringgit… although you can get a value pack, two packs in one, for 7 sing dollars at candy empire, so tumpang somebody!

ky, can you help me tumpang tanya your hot chick, what sort of a packaging did she use to mail the chocolates and if she has any like tips for chocolate mailing? yours are in very good condition, i’d think… i’m about to mail chocolates to america, want to make sure they arrive as much alike the way they’re sent as possible…. help me ask please? thank you!
