Do u ever try pak ngah laksa kuala kangsar. It doesn’t look very elegant and neat if you compare them to Laksa Shack in KL. It is indeed very different from the rest like penang laksa,It was not too creamy, not too spicy… it was just simple and original. lastime only can get the pak ngah laksa in kuala kangsar but now we oso can get it from kl. no need go too far till kuala kangsar.Last week i went to selayang pasar is shock and excited tat 2 c a pamphlet pak ngah laksa kuala kangsar in town.they offering 4 bussiness ppl even though we r not business ppl oso can get d same price. The price is quite cheap n reasonable onli need RM10 per kg+soup n they oso got offering feast onli need RM12 per kg+soup+eggs.jz need to call by fon 0122999647.they got deliver in certain place.

Sarawak or Kuching Laksa is the best - all other laksas pale in comparison. But then I'm biased. There's only one place in Perth that I know of that serves Kuching Laksa. And I haven't yet found an Asian grocer that imports and stocks Kuching laksa rempah paste the whole 19 years I've been in WA. So on our trips back to Kuching, we usually try to bring a few packets of rempah back with us. Swallow brand used to be the original variety available, but there is now a range of brands to choose from, including Parrot. The original Kuching laksa stall run by the same family for generations can apparently still be found at the Lau Ya Keng hawker centre on Carpenter Street, Kuching. But I've been to other stalls serving even better laksas.

BTW, does anyone know a made-from-scratch recipe for Sarawak laksa rempah? I wouldn't mind giving it a go.

I used to work down in Shah Alam at the Electrolux office in Jalan Kehuli ans was able to walk to a shop house nearby for lunch that served a wonderful version of curry laksa which never failed to please.
Corner shophouse two blocks away from the main entrance with a very high pavement outside and parking right beside it.
Great food, back in England now and prepare my own version which is very successful.
Malaysian food was wonderful.
