evelyn: to be honest, it's been so long since I last visited HCMC that I don't really know where to advice anymore. The hotels I stayed were usually of the 5 star type (company paid maa) and thus they are also very expensive. :S

Hi,

I am planning a family trip to HoChiMinh city with my family. We have 2 teenage girls. Can you suggest a nice, safe hotel for us to stay and places to see? And of course, the food. As we love to eat! (typical malaysian)

Love to hear from you as this will be our first trip and we need some good advice and tips.

The Vietnamese people really does offer the very best of hospitality anywhere, and of course, the city offers some interesting food too. [...]

While Ho Chi Minh City is bustling with development, Yangon appear to be more like a throw back in time, a backwater of ASEAN. [...]
